Shakespeare’s Women
Admit it! Women are a part of everyone’s life. Yet, even today, most men don’t understand the first thing about them…how they think, how they act, how they respond, how they love. The first playwright to attempt to understand women was William Shakespeare. After a brief introduction about women in the theater, Gulf Coast State College Encore instructor Robert Lamphear will discuss the women in Shakespeare’s life and some of the major female characters in his plays. Perhaps, we will all understand one another better.

FYI: Plays included, but not limited to:
Much Ado about Nothing (Beatrice)
Measure for Measure (Isabella)
The Merchant of Venice (Portia)
